Torture of children, although elusive and hard to believe, secretly much happening around us. One form of child abuse are almost not detectable and is really cruel as manifested by Julie Gregory, a victim of Munchausen by proxy, in his memoirs.
Munchausen by proxy is a form of child abuse where the perpetrator -usually the victim's mother- in every way to make his victim ill to gain sympathy and attention of others. The mother took the child from doctor to doctor, made the tests, moving from one hospital to another hospital and underwent surgery, while children are in fact did not hurt!
How can a child be able to resist the will of his own mother, who became a role model figure, which has all the answers from ignorance, and so trusted? How could the doctors and other professional bias to know that the mother had lied, because it is undeniable that what parents say is usually the best clue about what happened to the child.
A child who lives with fear, helplessness, its destruction until the discovery process itself and its power to escape from the madness of his mother and reach happiness in the ruins of the past.
Do they exist all around us?
